The optics are quite unique. Like Takahashi TOA, each element is fully separated. So it should be classified at the different level from the conventional triplet objective lenses.
It is now called it “Super Triplet” or FST (Fully Separated Triplet) optical lens system designed by a legendary optical designer. There are only two in this type of designs commercially available – TOA & FOT.
